![]() ![]() Space Punks goes into Early Access on PC on July 14th. ![]() We are pleased to announce that we have signed an exclusive agreement with the Epic Games Store to launch Space Punks on PC in both Early Access and Open Beta. Will the game be out on consoles? If so, with cross-platform multiplayer and cross-progression support? We are as one team working together and are thrilled to offer Space Punks to players around the world. Jagex Partners works closely with Flying Wild Hog to provide real-time publishing and operation services tailored to our needs, including user acquisition systems, digital marketing, analytics and audience analysis systems, monetization design, billing systems, customer support and community management. They have a unique and detailed understanding of how players interact with a project over a long period of time, and this allows us to have long-term publishing and management capabilities. And Jagex, like no one else, can say that they have 20 years of experience in successfully launching a game-service. The studio prides itself on having prepared a delightful mix of sci-fi RPG filled with interesting humor. By creating Space Punks, the team continues the tradition and is ready to expand the portfolio of explosive games. We’ve been making explosive, fast-paced action games for over 12 years. With Jagex’s support and expertise in this gaming sector, our vision can be realized. And since we want people and their friends to be able to come and go as they please, the decision for a free format was natural. The format will be a game-service with a constant and regular update of the latest and most explosive content. With that said, we wanted to create an exhilarating experience for players where the action never ends. However, here at Hogs, action, explosions and mayhem are the most appreciated. The project was originally inspired by Helldivers, a game we all played during our downtime due to the pandemic. What were your inspirations for developing the project? The styling is similar to Borderlands. Once the team is happy with the state, then start adding story items. We’ll be talking more about lore and story shortly, but for now, we want to focus on getting the core game mechanics in shape, and moving to Early Access will allow us to gather feedback on this. We know everything about hand-to-hand combat and dynamic shooters, so we decided to take this knowledge and apply it in isometric view with an emphasis on multiplayer and a little humor. One of the main strengths as a studio is its experience with action games. We wanted to create something new, fresh and explosive! Felt that games like Space Punks were really lacking. Space Punks combines a colorful comic book style with a humorous atmosphere with a surreal touch, and the title recalls the punk style of antiheroes. What does the name Space Punks mean? While we are not very knowledgeable about the game’s lore, it would be interesting to know. ![]()
